The celestial kingdom is the highest of the three LDS kingdoms of glory where a person will live eternally with Heavenly Father and Jesus. The primary goal of faithful Mormons is to “inherit” the Celestial Kingdom on Judgment Day. This “will depend on the depth of your conversion, expressed by your obedience to the Lord’s commandments.  …Such a goal is not achieved in one attempt, it is the result of a lifetime of righteousness and constancy of purpose.” (True to the Faith, p. 92) When faithful and worthy Mormons enter Paradise in the spirit world after death, they must continue their work to further their eternal progress until Judgment Day.

Within the Celestial kingdom, there exists another three levels for a Mormon to strive to attain. The highest level is Exaltation or Eternal Life. This is the level where a Mormon can receive an eternal family and become a god like Heavenly Father.
