Heaven

In Mormonism, heaven is usually understood as the place of reward after resurrection, divided into three kingdoms of glory: the Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial Kingdoms. Nearly all people are believed to inherit one of these kingdoms, with the Celestial reserved for the most faithful who receive all required ordinances and endure to the end. Within the Celestial Kingdom, exaltation is the highest level, where families are sealed together and people become like God.

This view differs from biblical Christianity, which speaks of heaven simply as eternal life with God, secured by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. The Bible does not describe multiple levels of heaven based on worthiness or ordinances. Instead, it presents heaven as the free gift of God to all who trust in Christ (John 14:2–3; Revelation 21:3–4).
