Eternal Death - Truth in Love Ministry

Eternal Death

In Mormonism, eternal death refers to permanent separation from God. It is most often associated with those who commit the unpardonable sin, such as denying the Holy Ghost after having a full knowledge of the truth. Those who experience eternal death become “sons of perdition” and are excluded from all degrees of glory in the afterlife.

For most people, eternal death is not considered their destiny, since nearly everyone is believed to inherit some level of glory after resurrection. In LDS teaching, eternal death is the rarest and most severe outcome, reserved only for those who utterly reject God after receiving his full light.
