In Mormonism, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles consists of modern leaders who are sustained as prophets, seers, and revelators. They hold priesthood keys under the church president and help guide doctrine, administration, and worldwide church direction (Doctrine and Covenants 107:23–24).
Biblical Christianity teaches that the office of apostle was limited to those personally chosen by Jesus and eyewitnesses of his resurrection (Acts 1:21–22). That foundation is complete, and no modern apostles with revelatory authority exist today.
