In Mormon belief, “sons of perdition” are those who have received a full knowledge of the gospel, then deliberately reject and oppose God and Jesus Christ. They are considered the only group excluded from all degrees of glory after the final judgment. Instead, they are cast into “outer darkness” with Satan and his followers. This category is viewed as very rare, applying only to those with the clearest light and understanding who still choose rebellion.
