Angels

In Mormonism, angels are not viewed as a separate order of beings but as humans in different stages of existence. In the pre-mortal life, some spirits served as angels, acting as messengers and helpers for Heavenly Father. After death, spirits may also serve as angels, and some angels are described as resurrected or translated beings who minister to mortals.

A well-known example is Moroni, a Nephite prophet who, according to Mormon teaching, appeared as a resurrected angel to Joseph Smith and directed him to the gold plates. Angels play an important role by delivering revelation, confirming God’s authority, and guiding people, reflecting the LDS belief in continuing revelation and progression.

Biblical Christianity teaches that God created angels distinct from humans. They especially serve believers (Hebrews 1:20).
