So we began with the question: Is Mormonism Christian?
And we’ve walked through what the Bible and Mormonism each teach about God, humanity, sin, salvation, grace, revelation, and eternity.
We haven’t just explored differences—we’ve uncovered something more profound: a different foundation, a different gospel, and, ultimately, a different Jesus. The contrasts are not minor. They matter for this life and the next. For Christians, that should stir both urgency and compassion for our Mormon friends.
If you’re a follower of Jesus, don’t be afraid to speak the truth. You don’t need to know everything about Mormonism; you need to know the beauty of Christ. He is the One who finished what we could never start. He is the One who offers forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life not through striving but through grace. And he is the One our Mormon friends are aching to know, whether they realize it yet or not.
Many Mormons live with secret fear—fear of not being worthy, fear of falling short, fear of losing their family or missing out on exaltation. They are told that eternal life must be earned, kept, and proven. That’s a crushing burden that only the gospel can lift.
So point them to Jesus, the One who carried our burden. Point them to the cross, where their debt has already been paid. Point them to the empty tomb, where their future is already secured. You may be the first person who’s ever told them that they can be free, not by trying harder, but by trusting wholly in Christ’s finished work.
And if you’re reading this today and you’re a Latter-day Saint, we’re so glad you’re still here.
You’ve likely sensed some of the tension between what you’ve been taught and what the Bible actually says. That tension is not something to run from. It’s something to explore honestly and humbly. God is not afraid of your questions. In fact, he welcomes them. He’s not hiding from you—he’s inviting you to know him as he truly is.
There is a reason your soul longs for rest. There is a reason your heart is weary from trying to be enough. And there is good news:
Jesus is enough.
He is enough to cover your past.
He is enough to give you peace with God.
He is enough to carry you into eternity without temple covenants, priesthood ordinances, or a lifetime of measuring up.
He’s not waiting for you to prove your worth.
He’s inviting you to receive his.
And when you do, you’ll find a freedom you’ve never known and a family that will never fade.
So to the Christian: Be bold. Be gentle. Be clear. Speak the truth in love.
And to the seeker: Open the Bible. Ask your questions. Lay down your burdens.
Because the gospel isn’t something you climb toward.
It’s a gift that comes down to you.
And his name is Jesus.
