Lesson Four: Becoming a Lifelong Disciple of Jesus Christ
The last lesson is for those who would like to join the LDS church. It focuses on the commitments and expectations for someone preparing for LDS baptism. Since you have already made it clear that you are not interested in converting, it is unlikely that they will share this lesson with you.
This lesson covers topics such as tithing, keeping the Sabbath, obeying the Word of Wisdom (LDS health code), following the prophet, obeying the law of chastity, honoring the law of the fast, and preparing for baptism and confirmation.
Most of these teachings are framed as commandments and part of what LDS members refer to as the “covenant path.” From a biblical perspective, these are not requirements for eternal life but expectations placed on those who hope to earn exaltation in LDS theology. If you’re curious about the full content of Lesson 4, you can read it here: Lesson 4.
