Will I get blacklisted?

People commonly ask this after they have met with their first group of missionaries. The simple answer is no.

If you have taken the time to show them Christian love, what usually happens is that they will write their reports in such a way that subsequent missionaries will be eager to visit you. Sometimes, word of your kindness is even passed along by them by word of mouth. Instead of being blacklisted, it is much more common to be singled out by subsequent missionaries as good people to visit.

Very rarely will a person get blacklisted. When it does happen, it is usually because they didn’t listen well and liked to debate. It has also happened when it became apparent to the mission president that you are having an effect on the missionaries. But even then, when a new mission president comes in a year or two, there’s a good chance you could again have missionaries visit you.
