Witnessing is emotionally draining. Therefore, it’s extremely helpful to have support. We previously encouraged you to have a small group of Christians praying for you. Consider asking one of them or another mature Christian to support you more directly by talking with you regularly. It is beneficial to have somebody to bounce ideas off of and who can remind you of God’s promises.

It’s also helpful to talk with people who have experienced the same thing. We have an online support group of people who are also witnessing to friends and family members.

A word of warning: carefully choose whom you listen to. Unfortunately, many people who have been in these situations are angry and bitter and will prove more harmful than helpful. Others will encourage you to focus on showing all that is wrong about Mormonism rather than about what is right about the Bible. Wisely pick those you listen to.
