Contained in Doctrine & Covenants (D&C) Section 87. Mormons often cite it as proof that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. Such “prophecies”, however, were not uncommon in his day. In addition, parts of it did not come true. Mormons also fail to mention, or don’t even realize, that Smith made many other prophecies—none of which came true. For example, see D&C 84.
